Pastor Rich Brock was born again on March 4th, 1988 at the prodding of a friend and her family.  He remembers sitting in their home watching a baseball game and being asked if he died tonight where would he spend eternity. He responded with the revelation that he was headed to hell and that he really didn't care at this point in his life.  As they persisted, he thought that if he didn't pray the sinner's prayer they would never leave him alone.  So, he prayed and they rejoiced!  He got in his car cracked open a beer and thought how gullible can someone be?

Little did he know that God had heard his prayer and a work had begun in his life that very night. He had never felt such conviction as he did after praying to receive Christ.  Soon, he found himself attending church services on Sundays after partying most of the week.  After six months, he could no longer live two lives.  He fell to his knees and cried out to God one Sunday night in a traditional First Baptist Church, and his life has never been the same.

He was born again and his hunger for God's Word and His Will were insatiable. Within six more months, Rich yielded to God's call on his life and began serving as the Youth Minister in that First Baptist congregation.

One year later, Rich was baptized in the Holy Spirit as he prayed in his room seeking for more of God's presence in his life.  He rejoiced in this wonderful gift God had given him.

Rich and his soon to be wife, Kathy, hungered for more teaching on faith and the Spirit of God.  Soon, they began attending River of Life Church in Chattanooga, Tn. After visiting ROLC for several months, Rich resigned from his position in the Baptist church.  He held two jobs while seeking God's direction for his life and ministry.

Within 10 months, Rich and Kathy were married at ROLC where he began working full time as a Staff Minister under the leadership of Pastors Alan & Terri Crider.  They faithfully served and grew in ministry responsibilities for over 8 years at ROLC-Chattanooga before they were led by God and sent out by their Pastors to plant a church in Dalton, Ga.

On Easter Sunday of 2000, they began River of Life Church of Dalton, Ga. where they faithfully served for over 9 years. Many people were impacted through their ministry onsite at 1002 N. Glenwood Ave in Dalton and through their television ministry.

In 2009, Pastor Rich was pursued and invited to work at a growing church in New Orleans, La.  He and Kathy, along with their 3 sons, moved to the New Orleans area to serve as Church Life Pastor in this international church.

After serving in this role for a year, Pastor Rich and Kathy decided to return home in 2010 believing God was calling them to start a new work.  Rich accepted a position with the largest insurance agency in Northwest Georgia as their Chief Operations Officer until the time was revealed.  While attending their home church, River of Life Church - Chattanooga, Rich yielded to that which God had begun in him years earlier, knowing He wanted to complete that call in him.

Passionate about pastoring people, the Brock's began a bible study in September of 2011in their home.  Doors opened and God blessed them with the opportunity to utilize the campus of the Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy in Dalton, Ga.  November 20th of 2011, River of Life-North Ga held their first service there and continue to meet on Sundays at 10:30am.
